OU Sooners Everest Indoor Training Center Lighting Update

The OU Sooners are a Historic Football Program, and to be at that level, you need the practice facility one can offer. The Everest Indoor Facility was close to being that, but the old Metal Halide Fixtures needed to be replaced. The cost of changing out bulbs all year round, and with the energy bill getting even higher, things needed to change. There were 128 fixtures, putting out 1000 watts per fixture, with an annual operating cost of $83,179.

After the change to LED Fixtures at 500 Watts per fixture, we brought the annual operating cost down to $20,966 with no annual maintenance costs. We helped the Sooners save over $60,000 annually. All that and other benefits like a 25% increase in light level, a 30% reduction in mechanical room ambient temperature, instant on/off fixture operation, reduced wait time for facility usage, and a 5-year Manufacturer warranty.
